By founding the "Holzhof Mayer" in 1973, the brothers Josef and Johannes Mayer set the course for the success story of today's HCR. The company started with the sale of telephone poles and the trade of roundwood and developed into a flexible sawmill specialising in pine and spruce timber production. Continuous investments, e.g. in a sorting and a cross-cutting system, have made it possible to constantly increase the cutting capacity and quality.
Today, the Holz Centrum Regensburg also has high-performance planing lines, drying chambers and a modern pressure impregnation plant. This means that the sawn timber produced can be finished in almost every conceivable way. It is precisely this flexibility of customised ranges, short delivery times and the high quality of our products that our customers value worldwide. Since 2009, HCR is part of the Outdoor Life Group - specialists in the production and distribution of garden timber and garden sheds.

Wood is a natural product. Through defined supplier criteria, we therefore ensure that only wood is delivered that we can also process to a high standard. With qualified employees and state-of-the-art technology, we produce the highest quality products from them. External auditors regularly audit our quality control system for work processes and machine technology. Work instructions are consistently followed and process audits are routine. Low complaint rates prove that our quality is right - satisfied customers that it is excellent.
